Mark Anderson (Toxie) and Oscar Conlon-Morrey in The Toxic Avenger Following a sell out season at London's Southwark Playhouse and an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Toxic Avenger the Musical comes to the Arts Theatre for a limited 10 week season. We are pleased to bring you these great first look images by Irina Chira.
The Toxic Avenger is based on Lloyd Kaufman's cult 1984 schlock-horror film of the same name. Someone needs to save the citizens of Tromaville from a corrupt mayor and a major toxic waste problem. Enter Melvin Ferd, who tries to help but gets thrown into a vat of toxic waste for his troubles. The waste transforms him into a 7 foot tall mutant freak with supersized strength and a heart to match. Will Toxie win the heart of the pretty blind librarian with an Oprah fixation. Get tickets for the show and find out.
Joining Mark Anderson, who returns after starring as Melvin/Toxie to great acclaim in the Southwark Playhouse production are Natalie Hope, Emma Salvo, Oscar Conlon-Morrey and Che Francis with Peter Bindloss and Sophia Lewis.
The Toxic Avenger runs at The Arts Theatre from 28 September to 3 December 2017
