The result was a version of Defying Gravity featuring Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa, Stephanie J. Block, Alexia Khadime, Julia Murney, Lindsay Mendez, Lindsay Pearce, Rachel Tucker, Jessica Vosk, Idina Menzel, and Kerry Ellis.

If you thought Defying Gravity was big enough with one Elphaba wait till you see 11 of them!

Written by Stephen Schwartz for the international hit musical Wicked. This belter of a song closes the first act of the show. Luckily on this occasion, the Elphies didn't get airborne which could have been messy.

The song formed part of the virtual concert entitled Shoshana Bean and Friends: An Evening of Broadway, which premiered live on 13 July 2020.

The concert benefitted Beaverton High School in an attempt to raise over $50,000 for their performing arts programme. Funds pay for facilities upgrades, pay for student participation and provide scholarships for graduating seniors. Find out more here. Wicked is expected to continue its run at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway and London's Apollo Victoria Theatre when theatres re-open their doors. Soon we hope. BOOK TICKETS FOR WICKED IN LONDON
