Casting announced for encore season of Follies at the National Theatre

Casting has been announced for the return season of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's musical Follies at the National Theatre in February 2019.
The cast of Follies. Photo: Johan Persson Following a sell-out season in 2017, Follies returns to the National Theatre from 12 February - 6 April 2019. Dominic Cooke's production features a cast of 40 and an orchestra of 21.
1971, New York. There’s a party on the stage of the Weissman Theatre. Tomorrow the iconic building will be demolished. Thirty years after their final performance, the Follies girls gather to have a few drinks, sing a few songs and lie about themselves.
Tracie Bennett, Janie Dee and Peter Forbesreturn to reprise their roles, with Alexander Hanson and Joanna Riding joining the cast as Ben and Sally.

Follies is designed by Vicki Mortimer, with choreography by Bill Deamer, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, additional orchestrations by Josh Clayton, musical director Nigel Lilley, lighting design by Paule Constable and sound designer by Paul Groothuis. Follies at the National Theatre won the 2018 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and Best Costume Design.
