クリスチャン・ジェームズは素晴らしいピノキオ役です。彼はキャラクターの他者性と分離感（生きた木であること）を完全に捉え、新参者が探索したい欲望や子供の反抗心を見事に描いています。彼が嘘をつくことを学び、鼻が伸びるシーンは本当に愉快で、ゲペットが戻る前に素早く成長分を削り取る様子もまた然りです。ブロナ―・ラガンは興味深く魅力的なミュージカルの優れたプロダクションを指揮しており、特に心を動かす若者たちに伝統的ながら新鮮なアプローチで娯楽と刺激を提供しています。このような作品をもっと若い人たちに見せたい、と強く願いつつ劇場を後にします。 イギリスの最高の劇場ニュース
