The union theatre rehearsal space is not great. It’s freezing for one, and rather small for the group I’m in - granted this is an issue for the school I booked in with - they should never have picked this venue. That being said, the space is small yet freezing and it is always dirty and dusty. Sometimes people come in and tell us not to be too loud with the music or our feet when dancing and if you have to do that, how can you rehearse properly? Overall not a bad space if you can overlook the cold and the dust and occasionally being told to keep it down.
My wife and I hired the Union Theatre bar for our joint birthday celebration, and it was the best decision. The venue is incredible and Sasha, Mat and the team were amazing - providing superb food, helping us with decorations, putting us in touch with a brilliant DJ (Joe), and even helping me plan a surprise song for my wife, with some of the team standing on the bar and singing!! We and all our guests had an amazing night, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Beautiful little place. Wonderful staff. Brilliant Open-Mic Re_Verse evenings.
Watched a musical there with family. What a beautiful intimate venue.
