The location is excellent, and the outdoor seating area is very enjoyable. There are theatre performances upstairs, and you can attend by purchasing tickets in advance. The interior is also quite spacious. It’s one of the better pubs in the surrounding area.
Fantastic Sunday roast! Yorkshire pudding is brilliant! Friendly service with a great traditional pub setting! I strongly recommend spending a Sunday afternoon here!
This was a wonderfully delicious place. We got the family two person meal which was plenty of food for my spouse and I. It was well made. Their sticky toffee pudding was not good at all. It was dry and tasted unpleasant, and the cream was lumpy, not smooth. I regretted biting into it as I was left with that taste in my mouth. The dinner was so good though. Much worth to go to!!
My niece and I had dinner here on this past Saturday, and it could not have been better! The food was all of it fantastic, the atmosphere exactly what you want a traditional British pub to be. The service was wonderful even though the place was hopping. Remember to make reservations, these are smaller historic buildings and if you want a spot on a busy night it’s a must! We will be back again, it was worth coming 4500 miles for 😊
