En general, las principales fortalezas de 'Getting Better Slowly' residen en sus intérpretes y en la gran cantidad de corazón que tiene su historia. Se desarrolla en un mundo pequeño, pero al final es uno perfectamente formado y reconocible como un lugar en el que todos podríamos situarnos. En cuanto al objetivo de Pownall de crear conciencia sobre el Guillain-Barré, está completamente cumplido. Y ha creado un espectáculo extraordinario en el proceso.
