Marisha Wallace performs two concerts at Charing Cross Theatre We are absolute fans of the wonderful Marisha Wallace who takes over the role of Effie White in Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre next week. So Christmas came early this morning with the annoucement that Marisha would perform two intimate concerts at London's Charing Cross Theatre on Sunday 3rd December 2017. The concerts are timed to co-incide with the release of Marisha's debut album Soul Holiday. You’ll hear her unique, soul-drenched take on Do You Hear What I Hear and I’ll Be Home For Christmas, plus Joyful Joyful from the movie Sister Act 2 and lots more. There will also be a special guest or two dropping in to join the party. A few special guests will also be popping by to celebrate with Marisha. Marisha said “My memories of Christmas live in the music that I listened to while making Christmas dinner with my Grandma Mary. The songs that rang through the house while we unwrapped gifts and prayed together over the food. I wanted to create an album that had all the fixings of a Christmas dinner but with a healthy helping of soul. A Christmas album that you would want to listen to even if it wasn’t Christmas. In a world that is in much need of some joy, let’s start with the soul” Marisha who appeared in the Broadway productions of Something Rotten and Aladdin and the first US National Tour of The Book Of Mormon has certainly developed a following here in the UK with her performances in Dreamgirls and as Celie in The Colour Purple in concert. Marisha will perform at Charing Cross Theatre on 3 December at 5pm and 8pm
