One of the oldest professional theatre within the UK, this local theatre certainly puts on professional productions if the latest Ray Cooney farce, 'Two Into One' was anything to go by. The theatre depends entirely upon donations and fundraising, and with this in mind, the cost of £22 for a matinee was more than acceptable, given the comfortable seating and the quality of the entertainment. Compared to West End theatre costs and travelling time, the 1.5 hour drive to Frinton-on-Sea represents extremely good value-for-money and a journey we are well prepared to do to see future productions. Ray Cooney, famous for writing and producing long- running West End farces, would appreciate the ingenuity of the staging, the acting and the interpretation of one of his earlier plays. I welcome attending future similar productions. The theatre seats an estimated 150+ in stepped rows giving an uninterrupted view of the stage. I assume that some of the seats in the row adjacent to the street level entrance can accommodate disabled guests. Prior to the show and during the intermission, refreshments are available at reasonable prices. Free roadside parking is available in adjacent streets.

This was my first visit to Frinton theatre. I was seated near the front so had an excellent view. I found the seats uncomfortable and that detracted from the enjoyment of the performance. Prices of the drinks were ok but there was not a lot of choice for those of us that don’t drink alcohol.

Excellent little theatre with a real a range of productions of the highest quality. We saw " Educating Rita " which was brilliant and very well produced. When in Frinton, go to the theatre.
