Modern man comes under the spotlight in Fag/Stag

Chris Isaacs and Jeffrey Jay Fowler in FAG/STAG Two of Australia's sharpest young writers, Jeffrey Jay Fowler and Chris Isaacs will bring FAG/STAG to Underbelly Cowgate at this year's Edinburgh Festival. Heartfelt, funny and direct from multi award-wining seasons at Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringes (2015 Fringe World Melbourne Tour Ready Award and Best Performance at Melbourne Fringe 2015), FAG/STAG asks what it means to have your best mate when you’re stuck being your worst self.

The tale of best friends Jimmy and Corgan begins with the arrival of an invitation to the wedding of Tamara, a former flame to them both. Corgan and Tamara were together for four years while Jimmy, of course, had a brief love affair with  her back in high school before he realised he was truly gay.

The wedding invitation launches a series of events that send their lives and friendship into disarray. Tinder/Grindr, white lies, and big nights consume them as they try to keep their friendship and lives from falling apart. Finally, the day of the wedding arrives. Maybe everything will turn out ok after all...

Jeffrey Jay Fowler and Chris Isaacs command the stage as unreliable narrators telling the same story from different points of view.

FAG/STAG is a truthful and comic insight into the mind of the modern man. Underbelly Cowgate (Belly Button) from 3rd August at 16:00 (not 14th) and is suitable for ages 15+
