Mischief Theatre have announced that the award-winning theatre disaster The Play That Goes Wrong will return to the West End in November and have a Christmas season in Bath
Against all the odds, The Play That Goes Wrong celebrated its 1999th performance in the Duchess Theatre, London on 23 May 2019.

A new cast has been announced for the London production of The Play That Goes Wrong as it continues on its path to world domination.
The Play That Goes Wrong, the Olivier award-winning play that has audiences flocking every day to the Duchess Theatre in London with morbid fascination have announced that much to the horror of Nica Burns at Nimax Theatres the show will extend into its third year with bookings now open until 25 February 2018. Cornley are now working with Mischief Theatre to bring this unique production to even more people. Audiences worldwide are now watching in horror as the members of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society desperately try to recruit more people to their amdram group to cope with demand for their play little realising the cause for the laughter they are receiving. Given this, and the British public’s acute awareness of personal embarrassment, coupled with the uniquely comic and cathartic potential of witnessing it in others, the play is destined to be a long-runner in the West End.
The 2015 Olivier Awards were held tonight at the Royal Opera House in London. Hosted by Lenny Henry, the evening was dominated by The Young Vic and Sunny Afternoon. The Young Vic’s production of A View From The Bridge won for Best Revival, Best Actor and Best Director whilst Sunny Afternoon won for Best New Musical, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Outstanding Achievement in Music. Dame Angela Lansbury received her first ever Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress. The Play That Goes Wrong won Mischief Theatre the award for Best Comedy. Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Memphis and City Of Angels won two awards each.
