Lizzie Bea and the cast of Hairspray Michael Ball, Lizzie Bea and Marisha Wallace and the cast of Hairspray gave us a "full out" taster of the upcoming season of Hairspray the musical when they performed Good Morning Baltimore and You Can't Stop The Beat on Britain's Got Talent.

In a breath-taking 4 minutes, they got us excited about going back to the theatre and built anticipation for this major revival of the Olivier Award-winning smash hit musical which will open at the Coliseum Theatre, London in early 2021.

This major revival sees the show's original creative team (Jack O'Brien - Director, Jerry Mitchell - choreography and David Rockwell - design) re-team with London's original Edna, the one and only Michael Ball who won the Olivier Award when Edna first burst forth at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.

Hairspray features music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman and a book by Thomas Meehan and is based upon the John Waters film of the same name.

Hairspray will see Lizzie Bea play Tracy alongside Marisha Wallace as Maybelle and Paul Merton as Wilbur.

Baltimore, 1962. Tracy Turnblad is a big girl with big hair and big dreams. Can she make it on the local TV dance show, win the heart of teen heartthrob Link Larkin and bring everyone together – whatever their colour, size or hairdo? Well if you want a change, you’ve really got to shake things up!

Hairspray will hit London for a limited season of 18 weeks at the Coliseum Theatre, so book your Hairspray tickets now before it's too late.
