New cast of Miss Saigon UK Tiour announced.

Legendary producer Cameron Mackintosh has today announced casting for his 2017-18 tour of his acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schönberg’s Miss Saigon which opens at the Leicester Curve on Saturday 1 July 2017.  See full Miss Saigon UK Tour details. Red Concepcion will play ‘The Engineer’, Sooha Kim ‘Kim’, Ashley Gilmour ‘Chris’, Zoë Doano ‘Ellen’ and Gerald Santos ‘Thuy’. At certain performances ‘Kim’ will be played by Joreen Bautista. Following its acclaimed premiere at the Mercury Theatre in 2016, Stage Write will be taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer! “Side One, track two. That song is about me.” Two men meet in a club. It’s supposed to just be casual sex. But their paths keep crossing, keeping it casual for years, until feelings deepen. Tickets for Yank! are now on sale. The musical tells a gay love story set in the midst of World War Two. Based on the real history and events of WW2, it focuses on the life of Stu, a scared Mid-Western youngster who is called up to serve in the forces in 1943. He becomes a photographer for Yank Magazine, the journal ‘for and by the servicemen’. The musical explores what it means to be a man, and what it is to fall in love and struggle.
