John Wilmot, the second Earl of Rochester is a charismatic poet, playwright and rake with a legendary appetite for excess. Yet this most ardent of hedonists is forced to reconsider everything he thinks and feels when a chance encounter with an actress at the Playhouse sends him reeling. With flair and wit, this wild romp through 1670s London offers an incisive critique of life in an age of excess. Gregory S. Moss’s punkplay is a riot of a play told at break-neck pace with a killer soundtrack, a coming-of-age story about subcultures, friendship and not-fitting-in – all on rollerskates! There’s Duck and there’s Mickey. They’re the kids of America and it’s the 80s apocalypse. They hate their parents and there’s no point in algebra. They’re grabbing at this thing called life: guitars, girls, love, fury, heartbreak and noise noise noise. Punk is their escape from suburbia and it’s like nothing they have ever heard. Found111 has found another hit show to follow the acclaimed, sold out performances of The Dazzle. The venue will host the London premiere of Owen McCafferty’s blackly comic play Unfaithful, which stars Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter film series, The Syndicate), Niamh Cusack (Heartbeat, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time), Sean Campion (The Borgias, Stones in his Pockets), and Ruta Gedmintas (The Strain, The Tudors). Tom is enjoying a quiet pint after work. Tara lies awake whilst her boyfriend finishes his shift. When their paths cross, a chain of events is sparked that reveal the unspoken desires and regrets of two relationships on the brink. Unfaithful questions what it means to be lovers, partners and people. Unfaithful is directed by Adam Penfold. The play runs from 25 August – 8 October 2016. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in the highly awaited production of Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land which has now started a brief UK tour before landing at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre from 8th September 2016. This production of No Man’s Land is directed by Sean Mathias and comes to London following its season at the Cort Theatre in New York where it ran in repertory with Waiting For Godot which also starred McKellen and Stewart.
