A great new video trailer has been released today for the National Theatre’s production of Great Britain by Richard Bean. This comedy based on the relationship between media, the police and politicians has just transferred to the Theatre Royal Haymarket. First Look At Last Five Years The Movie

For musical theatre fans it’s been a long wait but it was announced at the weekend that the film adaptation of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years will premier at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 with general release due early next year. Entertainment Weekly managed to get this exclusive preview of the film before a trailer has been released. Starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, The Last Five Years follows a couples five year relationship almost exclusively through song but with the unique plot device of the story being told from two different timelines. Cathy’s (Kendrick) parts begin at the end of the relationship whilst Jamie’s (Jordan) begin at the start of it, with the storyline colliding when Jamie proposes. Enjoy this sneak peak. Wicked Extends Its Booking Period

Casting Announced For Warde St at Park Theatre

With the critically acclaimed revival of Richard Bean’s Toast currently running in Park200 and Anna Jordan’s Chicken Shop about to open in Park90, today Park Theatre Artistic Director Jez Bond announces the full cast for Damien Tracey’s sharp political drama Warde Street, set in the aftermath of the July 7th 2005 London bombings. Jenny Eastop directs a company that includes Omar Ibrahim, Avita Jay, Shane Noone, Maya Saroya and Corin Stuart. The production will open in Park90 on 6 October, with previews from 30 September, and runs until 26 October. Warde Street tells the story of Eddie, an ordinary man, whose life is ripped apart when his wife is killed in the July 7th 2005, London bombings.
