LAST-5-YEARS

For musical theatre fans it's been a long wait but it was announced at the weekend that the film adaptation of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years will premier at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 with general release due early next year.

Entertainment Weekly managed to get this exclusive preview of the film before a trailer has been released. Starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, The Last Five Years follows a couples five year relationship almost exclusively through song but with the unique plot device of the story being told from two different timelines. Cathy's (Kendrick) parts begin at the end of the relationship whilst Jamie's (Jordan) begin at the start of it, with the storyline colliding when Jamie proposes.

Enjoy this sneak peak. We'll bring you more as it's released.
