Casting Announced For Death Takes A Holiday at Charing Cross Theatre

Producers have announced that Maxwell Caulfield, Zoë Doano and Chris Peluso will lead the cast of Death Takes A Holiday at the Charing Cross Theatre in January 2017. Tickets are now on sale. Based on the 1928 Italian play of the same name, Death Takes A Holiday has a lush, romantic score by multi Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist Maury Yeston, whose musical Titanic launched the current season of musicals at the Charing Cross Theatre. Death Takes A Holiday has a book by multi Tony award-winners Thomas Meehan and Peter Stone. Used as the source material for the film Meet Joe Black which starred Brad Pitt, the musical is a soaring story of the preciousness of life and the overwhelming power of love. The National Theatre has announced that after five years in London, their award-winning production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time playing at the Gielgud Theatre will close on Saturday 3 June 2017. The show will undertake a second UK tour starting in January 2017. Adapted from Mark Haddon’s best-selling book by Simon Stephens, the production is the recipient of seven Olivier Awards including Best Play, more than any other single play in West End history. Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, together with J K Rowling have today confirmed that talks are now well underway to bring the record-breaking show to Broadway in Spring 2018. Exclusive talks are now being held with the Ambassador Theatre Group to bring the hit play to the Lyric Theatre on Broadway. ATG are currently planning multi-million dollar renovations to remodel, transform and reconfigure the 1900 seat theatre, turning it into a more intimate theatre with approximately 1500 seats.
