Hair 50th Anniversary Production comes to The Vaults London

Following its acclaimed season the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester, Jonathan O’Boyle’s 50th Anniversary production of Hair will transfer to The Vaults from Wednesday 4 October 2017 for a limited season. Heralded as being a mini-Woodstock, this unique production of Hair will take advantage of the immersive nature of the space complete with hippie flower power, iconic artwork and psychedelic innovative creatives. There will also be 60’s themed pop-up restaurants and drinks, stalls selling vintage 60s and tie dye clothes, 60s smiley badges and memorabilia, hippie wigs and flower headdresses, vinyl’s – everything needed for a legal high. Exciting times in Manchester tonight, as award-winning musical Parade opens at The Hope Mill Theatre, co-produced by Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre and James Barker Production. Manchester’s newest arts venue will be a platform to showcase and revive musical theatre – with Parade being the first production to be presented as part of the new partnership. The cast is led by Tom Lloyd as Leo Frank and Laura Harrison as Lucille Frank, together with Jennifer Harraghy, Nathan Summers, Ben Jackson, Matt Mills, Shekinah McFarlane, Andrew Gallo, James Wolstenholme, Aidan Banyard; John Mulleady, Megan Ormiston, Evie Blackstock, Anna Berentzen and Natalie Hollingworth. Aria Entertainment and Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester announce major collaboration…and a string of musicals

A national London-based arts producer and Manchester’s newest theatre have announced a major collaboration which will put the venue on the arts map in the North of England. Aria Entertainment has joined forces with Hope Mill Theatre in Ancoats to spearhead the venue as a platform to showcase and revive musical theatre. The first show from the new partnership is the classic musical Parade, which will run for three weeks from Friday 13 May to Sunday 5 June. The performance run is unique in that there will be Sunday evening performances throughout at 6pm. The team will also be staging the musical Hair and a workshop of a brand new musical.
