Sarah Harding and Andy Moss To Star in Ghost UK Tour

Producer Bill Kenwright has announced that Sarah Harding will make her stage debut opposite Andy Moss in Ghost The Musical, when it starts a UK tour later this year. Sarah Harding who will play Molly, is perhaps best known as part of one of the most successful pop acts in UK history, Girls Aloud. Andy Moss is best-known for starring as Rhys Ashworth in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, a role he has played for 8 years, will play Sam. Sarah Harding said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be making my theatre debut in Ghost – The Musical. Producers The Original Theatre Company and Salisbury Playhouse in association with Eastbourne Theatres have given us these great preview images from the rehearsal rooms of the UK Tour of Emlyn Williams’s Night Must Fall. Emlyn Williams wrote Night Must Fall in 1935 and played the lead role in the first stage production. The play was noted for its exploration of the killer’s complex psychological state, a step forward for its genre.  Robert Montgomery starred in the film version in 1937 and Albert Finney in the 1964 re-make. New Truly And Childcatcher As Chitty Lands in Edinburgh

Charlotte Wakefield will join the UK tour cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Truly Scrumptious.

Music and Lyrics and West Yorkshire Playhouse, producers of the UK National tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, have announced new casting for the roles of Truly Scrumptious and The Childcatcher when the show arrives in Edinburgh this October. Charlotte Wakefield is to play the role of Truly Scrumptious. Charlotte made her West End debut at 18 playing Wendla Bergman in Spring Awakening. Charlotte played Maria in The Sound Of Music at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre to critical acclaim, and played Laurey in the 2015 UK Tour of Oklahoma, and Sophie in the the West End and International Tour productions of Mamma Mia!. The first-ever Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical, CATS opened last night (31 July 2016) at the Neil Simon Theatre. After the triumphant opening night performance, celebrity guests celebrated with Andrew Lloyd Webber, star Leona Lewis, and the New Generation of CATS with a Jellicle Ball at Gotham Hall. Earlier in the evening, Andrew Lloyd Webber celebrated three shows currently running on Broadway with a photo opportunity backstage that included Leona Lewis (as Grizabella from CATS), Alex Brightman (as Dewey Finn from School of Rock – The Musical) and James Barbour (as the Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera). Following rave reviews earlier this week Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, announced that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017. Originally published in 1927 as a novel by a then unknown Priestley, it wasn’t until 1932 that the novel was adapted  by Universal into a film called The Old Dark House, which broke box office records across the UK.
