New Psychological Thriller Based on Stoker’s Dracula Comes To Theatre N16

This Holloween, TheatreN16 will play host to Riot Act’s nü-gothic play, Lunatic, a new take on Dracula by Artistic Director Whit Hertford. Lunatic, examines the roots of psychotherapy through the secluded sessions between R M Renfield and alienist Dr John Seward of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Lunatic is a contemporary thriller and genre-redefining companion piece to the classic Victorian tale which explores the relevant veins of morality, sanity and fear of the unknown. POs-show, the 1931 version of Dracula starring Bela Lugosi by Tod Browning will be screened. Lunatic is directed and written by Riot Act Artistic Director Whit Hertford. Hosted by Graham Norton, Samantha Bond, David Bedella and Michelle Visage, the evening called Excalibare raised money for the MAD Trust – a UK-based charity with a vision of a world free from HIV and AIDS.
