Gabriel, a play by Moira Buffini will tour the UK from 28 March 2017. This is the second time the production has been staged since the play originally premiered at the Soho Theatre in 1997. The story of Gabriel is based in 1943 Nazi-occupied Guernsey. Widow and mother Jeanne does whatever it takes to keep her adolescent daughter Estelle and daughter-in-law Lily safe on an island filled with danger and fear. Her toughest test arrives in the form of the terrifying Commander Von Pfunz, whose romantic advances may be the only way to keep her family alive. But tensions intensify when a mysterious young man is washed ashore with no memory of who he is. The Thriller Live juggernaut just keeps on going with producers announcing that on 26 March 2017, Thriller Live will become the 9th Longest Running Show – musical or play – currently in The West End. As the production prepares to celebrate the show’s producers have announced a new booking period releasing tickets for the next twelve months to April 1, 2018. Thriller Live has now been seen by over 4.2 million people in 33 countries, playing over 5400 performances worldwide. Producers have also announced new UK tour dates will be announced soon following the phenomenal success of the show’s last UK tour. Phina Oruche’s hilariously funny one-woman show Identity Crisis transfers to London’s Ovalhouse Theatre from 8 – 14 May 2017. The play which has enjoyed successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe 2015, The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol, and the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool explores identity struggles that are common to us all. The play was born out of a real-life story of the sudden death of Oruche’s 19-year-old niece in her home in 2011.
