Fresh from its critically acclaimed 2015 Edinburgh Festival season, Metal Rabbit, in association with the Bunker Theatre will present Philip Ridley’s Tonight With Dony Stixx. Donny has committed an act that shocked everyone. Tabloids called him The Most Hated Boy Alive. But, despite this, Donny doesn’t want forgiveness. All Donny wants is his own television show. Written originally as the companion piece to Fringe First winning Dark Vanilla Jungle, this brutal monologue leaves us in flux between sympathy and loathing, shocked by what unfolds. Stixx is a compelling one-man show about our celebrity-obsessed culture, the damage our parents can inflict on us and the dangers of delusion. Tonight with Donny Stixx is directed by David Mercatali, and performed by Sean Michael Verey. Tonight with Donny Stixx will run at The Bunker from 8 November – 3 December 2016. New Psychological Thriller Based on Stoker’s Dracula Comes To Theatre N16

This Holloween, TheatreN16 will play host to Riot Act’s nü-gothic play, Lunatic, a new take on Dracula by Artistic Director Whit Hertford. Lunatic, examines the roots of psychotherapy through the secluded sessions between R M Renfield and alienist Dr John Seward of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Lunatic is a contemporary thriller and genre-redefining companion piece to the classic Victorian tale which explores the relevant veins of morality, sanity and fear of the unknown. POs-show, the 1931 version of Dracula starring Bela Lugosi by Tod Browning will be screened. Lunatic is directed and written by Riot Act Artistic Director Whit Hertford. The award-winning writer and performer Robert Crighton, explores the ongoing Shakespeare boom in the play Undead Bard, an unholy smorgasbord of play, comedy, and music, pulling apart Shakespeare, Bardolatry, and the modern world, for your pleasure. Robert Crighton is a multi-award winning playwright and performer, specialising in stories and monologues. Hosted by Graham Norton, Samantha Bond, David Bedella and Michelle Visage, the evening called Excalibare raised money for the MAD Trust – a UK-based charity with a vision of a world free from HIV and AIDS.
