The show’s score is one that you want – you need – to revisit again and again. Till and his collaborators are such major talents that there isn’t a single line, phrase or bar that doesn’t repay repeated hearing. Quite honestly, it’s a breath-taking achievement.

In the Heights, the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical has announced that it will close at the King’s Cross Theatre on Sunday 8 January 2017. In The Heights won three 2016 Olivier Awards – Outstanding Achievement in Music, Best Choreographer and Best Supporting Actor for David Bedella. With these issues as relevant today as they were when the show premiered in 2012, Glasgow Girls is a powerful, compelling plea for seeing refugees as people rather than just faceless statistics.
