Sierra was due to have played Maria in the one-off concert event at the Royal Albert Hall this summer. The evening is to feature Ross Lekites as Tony and be conducted by John Wilson leading the John Wilson Orchestra, together with students from the Mountview Academy and Arts Ed Theatre School. In a statement, Sierra said: “Last week, it was announced that I will be singing in a concert of West Side Story at Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in London. Box Office staff at the Royal Albert Hall have undertaken a crash course in Klingon, ahead of the venue’s ‘Star Trek – In Concert’ and ‘Star Trek Beyond – In Concert’ events in June. Employees were asked to take classes in the ‘language’ after the Hall announced it would give two free tickets to anyone ordering in Klingon. OVO’s acts include a remarkable mini army of red ants doing equally remarkable and seemingly impossible tricks with slices of kiwifruit and chunks of mini corn cobbettes, Kyle Cragle’s Dragonfly hand-balancing … Read more

Cirque Du Soleil Kooza Royal Albert Hall 6th January 2015 5 Stars Cirque Du Soleil are back in London for what has become their regularly residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall and this year they have more than delivered the goods with their latest offering – Kooza! Kooza tells the story of the Innocent, a naive but charming clown striving to find his own place in the world. Kooza is an incredibly exciting production that combines clowning and acrobatics in a production that was nothing short of breath-taking. As with all Cirque Du Soleil productions, Kooza is visually rich. Billowy sales envelop a Bataclan that contains the shows vocalists and musicians whilst above an enormous sprawling clutter of wires and scaffold enable this production to achieve impossible and thrilling heights. Highlight of last night’s performance included the High Wire (performed by Angel Quiros Dominguez, Vincente Quiros Dominguez, Roberto Quiros and … Read more
