The UK premiere of the Tony nominated musical comedy Xanadu is coming to the Southwark Playhouse in a season running from 16 October – 21 November 2015. The musical based on the 1980 cult movie which starred Olivie Newton John and Gene Kelly is being directed by Paul Warwick Griffin and designed by Morgan Large, with choreography by Nathan M. Wright. Kira, the magical and beautiful Greek muse, descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus for Venice Beach, California, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first roller disco… Well hey, it is 1980!
