Take a look at Tristram Kenton’s first look production photos from the London revival of Kander and Ebb’s award-winning musical Chicago. Now in previews, Chicago stars Cuba Gooding Jr as Billy Flynn, Sarah Soetaert as Roxie Hart, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly, Ruthie Henshall as Mama Morton and Paul Rider as Amos Hart. Chicago, which is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The Broadway revival of Chicago was choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse, directed by Walter Bobbie and produced by Barry and Fran Weissler. Kander and Ebb’s The World Goes Round is now playing at The Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough. Featuring songs from Kander and Ebb musicals including Chicago, Cabaret, The Rink amongst others, The World Goes Round is a wonderful review that stars Phoebe Fildes, Laura Jane Matthewson, Nigel Richards, Ashley Samuels and Shona White. The World Goes Round is directed by Lotte Wakeham, designed by Simon Kenny, lighting design by Jason Taylor and musical direction by Neil McDonald.
