Wicked releases new character portraits as it celebrates 12 years in London

Wicked the musical celebrates 12 years at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre today and in celebration of this birthday producers have released stunning new principal cast portraits by photographer Darren Bell. Wicked currently stars Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda). Wicked has now played 4500 performances, being seen by over 8 million people in London alone. On 19 October 2017, Wicked becomes the 15th longest running show in London theatre history when it surpasses the run of We Will Rock You. We hope that you enjoy Darren Bell’s great photographs. Wicked London has announced its 24th extension with 500,000 new tickets now available for performances until 1 December 2018 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre where it is already the 16th longest running show in West End theatre history. Wicked London has now been seen by over 8 million people in London alone and currently stars Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda). Now in its 11th year, the critically acclaimed,smash-hit musical is now the 17th longest running show in West End Theatre history. Now in its 11th smash hit year at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, the producers of Wicked have announced that Alice Fearn (Elphaba) and Sophie Evans (Glinda) will lead the new cast who start performances on Monday 24 July 2017. Also joining the cast are Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Jack Lansbury (Boq) and Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba), joining current cast members Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda). Alice Fearn (Elphaba) originally joined the London production of Wicked in 2016, as Standby for Elphaba, and will now assume the role. Her previous West End appearances include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Shrek The Musical, Into The Woods, Les Misérables (also the film version) and The Woman in White.
