Harry Potter and the Cursed Child West End brings fans a continuation of the story that enchanted a generation. Now playing at the Palace Theatre London, Harry Potter tickets are now on sale.

Following on from one of the world’s most popular series of novels by J K Rowling and a blockbuster series of film adaptations, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child brings fans a new adventure.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which opened at the Palace Theatre, London on 30 July 2016 is a two-part play written by Jack Thorne based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne. The play is presented in two parts. The parts are designed to be viewed on the same day or consecutively over two evenings

The story begins nineteen years after the events of the 2007 novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and follows Harry Potter, now Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic, and his younger son, Albus Severus Potter, who is about to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The play is marketed as the eighth story in the Harry Potter series.

The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child West End production recieved a record-breaking eleven nominations winning nine awards including Best Play. The production won six 2018 Tony Awards when it opened at the Lyric Theatre on Broadway.

Now playing around the world recently the production team announced that the play would be re-staged as a single show for future performances on Broadway beginning in November 2021, as well the San Francisco and Toronto productions beginning in 2022. The existing two-part play will continue to be staged in London, Melbourne and Hamburg.

The producers and Rowling have maintained a campaign called #KeepTheSecrets to ask people who have seen the play not to reveal its major twists.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets are a hot commodity in the West End and are usually SOLD OUT in advance so plan ahead.

New Cast Announced For Harry Potter And The Cursed Child

The new Harry Potter And The Cursed Child cast has been revealed. Rehearsals began this week for the new cast who will start performing in the acclaimed hit show on 24 May 2017 following the final performance of the current cast on 21 May 2017. Jamie Glover will play Harry Potter with Emma Lowndes as his wife Ginny Potter and Theo Ancient as their son Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge will play Ron Weasley with Rakie Ayola as Hermione Granger and Helen Aluko as their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley. Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, together with J K Rowling have today confirmed that talks are now well underway to bring the record-breaking show to Broadway in Spring 2018. Exclusive talks are now being held with the Ambassador Theatre Group to bring the hit play to the Lyric Theatre on Broadway. ATG are currently planning multi-million dollar renovations to remodel, transform and reconfigure the 1900 seat theatre, turning it into a more intimate theatre with approximately 1500 seats. Harry Potter And The Cursed Child held an opening gala on 30 July 2016. Following rave reviews earlier this week Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, announced that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017. The producers of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child have announced that Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornley will take on the roles of Harry, Hermoine and Ron respectively. J.K. Rowling said: “I’m so excited with the choice of casting for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I can’t wait to see Jamie, Noma and Paul bring the adult Harry, Hermione and Ron to life on stage next summer.” Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is one play presented in two parts.
