The Clockmakers Daughter at the Landor Theatre

With previews starting tomorrow,  we are pleased to bring you this teaser trailer for the new musical The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn. Spindlewood, like most towns of age, has its traditions. But no practice, custom, or Old Wives Warning is so firmly adhered to as ‘The Turning of the Key’. Every year, on the last night of winter, as the first day of spring unfolds, the townsfolk gather to take part in a strange ritual. They meet in the centre of the town square, where a statue bearing the likeness of a young girl stands, poised and still, one hand raised as if to toast the sky. Constance has stood in the square for as long as any can remember. And she is never more life like than tonight.

The producers of Beautiful Thing have announced the closure of the production at the Leicester Curve on Saturday 30th May. Jonathan Harvey’s Beautiful Thing remains a landmark and deeply relevant piece of theatre, and I thank every audience member who has come to see the show and who booked to see it elsewhere.” Beautiful Thing will play at Royal and Derngate Northampton … Read more
