antic|face has announced casting for their upcoming production of Alex MacKeith’s School Play at Southwark Playhouse, opening on 1 February 2017 for a limited season. The cast of School Play includes Oliver Dench (Tom), Fola Evans-Akingbola (Lara), Gemma Fray (Mikaela), Kevin Howarth (David/Tony), Vida King (Mikaela) and Ann Ogbomo (Jo). The headteacher’s office of a South London Primary School is always busy. But today is results day and the phone won’t stop ringing. Jo, the headteacher of St. Barnabas, knows that the arrival of the school’s SATs results puts her job on the line. Once you get the hang of the technology there are some great podcasts out there for theatre fans, and we thought we’d list the podcasts that we now make time to listen to. Whilst some have an insider slant, appealing to actors of people within the industry these podcasts we felt would appeal to people who are members of the audience as well as backstage as well. Carolyn Maitland joins the cast of Ghost UK Touras Milly

Producers have announced that Carolyn Maitland will replace Sarah Harding in the current UK tour of Ghost The Musical starting at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on 17 January 2017. Carolyn’s theatre credits include Ellen in Miss Saigon, Joelle in Groundhog Day, rose in From Here To Eternity and kate in Kiss Me Kate. She will join Andy Moss who is currently playing Sam and Jacqui Dubois who is playing Oda Mae Brown who have been with the show since it started touring last year. Based on the Academy award-winning film that starred Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg, Ghost features a score by Dave Stewart and Glenn Ballad and a book by original screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin. We are pleased to bring you some great first look rehearsal photos by Johan Persson for the new West End production of Edward Albee’s classic American drama Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolfe which opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre for a limited 13 week season from 22 February 2017. This will be the first production of the play since Albee’s death last September. The play will be directed by James Macdonald and stars Imelda Staunton as Martha, Conleth Hill as George, Imogen Poots as Honey and Luke Treadaway as Nick. New Adventures The Red Shoes UK Tour

New Adventures have announced that due to popular demand new dates have been added to the World Premiere tour of Matthew Bourne’s The Red Shoes. The Red Shoes will now also play the Sheffield Lyceum, King’s Theatre Glasgow, Wycombe Swan, and Liverpool Empire. Due to unprecedented popularity, the tour will also return to The Lowry and Birmingham Hippodrome. Opening at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in November 2016, the World Premiere tour of The Red Shoes is now five weeks into a sold out eight week Christmas season at Sadler’s Wells where it has received rave reviews.The production is also sold out in Woking and Birmingham with limited availability at venues thoughout February – Milton Keynes and Norwich.
