History of Troubadour Carnary Wharf Theatre

Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre is the latest addition to the renowned Troubadour Theatres family, created by the award-winning team behind Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre and the former King’s Cross Theatre. Their previous venues have hosted critically acclaimed productions such as Starlight Express, The Railway Children, David Bowie’s Lazarus, and In the Heights, establishing a reputation for innovative, immersive theatre experiences. Designed as a dynamic and contemporary performance space, Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre spans three floors and features an outdoor terrace, modern facilities, and a fully flexible layout to accommodate groundbreaking productions. Located in the heart of Canary Wharf’s vibrant retail and entertainment district, the venue is easily accessible via multiple transport links—including riverboat services—making it a premier cultural destination. Bus

Six bus routes pass through Canary Wharf, providing convenient connections across London. These include the D3 (Bethnal Green – Isle of Dogs, Asda), D7 (Mile End – All Saints), D8 (Stratford – Isle of Dogs, Asda), 135 (Moorfields – Mudchute), 277 (Highbury & Islington – Leamouth), and the N550 night bus (Trafalgar Square – Canning Town).
