Currently playing on Broadway, Pretty Woman the musical is based on the 1990 romantic comedy motion picture of the same name directed by the late Garry Marshall.
Once upon a time in the late ’80s, unlikely soulmates Vivian and Edward overcame all odds to find each other… and themselves. The original Broadway production starred Britain's Samantha Barks and Andy Karl who starred in the Olivier Award-winning production of Groundhog Day at the Old Vic, London.
Pretty Woman: The Musical, features direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray), an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams (“Summer of ’69,” “Everything I Do”) and his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance, and a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.

Producers have announced that "Oh, Pretty Woman" the 1964 hit single by Roy Orbison has now been incorporated into the Broadway production and will also now be heard in all future productions including Hamburg (opening in late 2019), London and in a US National tour next year.
Whilst no casting or venue has been announced for the London run, the musical is expected to be a hot ticket when it goes on sale. The musical will open in London just as the Broadway production is celebrating its second Birthday on Broadway.
