Pride And Prejudice UK Tour

Pride and Prejudice, the biggest small tour of Jane Austen's perennial favourite is back this year by popular demand for its second UK tour.

Over 200 years after it was first published, Joannah Tincey's adaptation brings Pride and Prejudice to life with just two actors. Using their own ingenuity and Austen's text, the actors illuminate Austen's words in a fresh and relevant way.

Joannah Tincey comments, I wanted to create an adaptation where the characters talk to the audience in the same way that Austen talks to her readers. By addressing the audience directly and allowing the characters to speak for themselves, we are bringing Jane Austen’s unique and witty writing style to life in a truly theatrical context. All of the characters we love from Pride and Prejudice are here, all 21 of them, Mrs Bennet complete with her nerves, Mrs Wickham and his misdeeds, Darcy and Lizzy, in an array of locations that come straight from Austen's pen. It's a fun, fast and highly romantic production that sparkles with wit and style. Pride and Prejudice is performed by Joannah Tincey and Nick Underwood. Pride and Prejudice is directed by Abigail Anderson, designed by Dora Schweitzer, lighting design by Simon Wilkinson and sound design by Mark Melville. The production is produced by Richard Darbourne Ltd. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE UK TOUR
