Caroline Routh is to step down as Executive Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres.
Nuffield Southampton Theatres have announced that after over three years with the company, Caroline Routh will step down as Executive Director. After overseeing the opening of the new £30m city-centre building, NST City, and delivering a critically acclaimed inaugural season, Routh has decided to move onto new opportunities.
Caroline Routh said today, “I've loved working at NST over the past three years and am hugely proud to have been part of the team responsible for opening Southampton's new theatre. I'm looking forward to seeing it going from strength to strength in the future.” Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Sam Hodges also said, “It has been a great pleasure working with Caroline over the last few years. We would never have navigated the complexities of opening our new theatre without her - I'm extremely grateful to her for everything she's done for Nuffield Southampton Theatres and wish her well.” Chair, Matthew Taylor added, “On behalf of the whole Board I want to thank Caroline for her tremendous contribution in her time at Nuffield Southampton Theatres. In particular, the successful opening of our wonderful city centre venue simply would not have happened without Caroline's dedication and positivity. The care and commitment that she brought to stewarding the company through that change is hugely appreciated and we join Sam in wishing her very best for the future.”
