Almeida Theatre announces full cast for Spring Awakening

The Almeida Theatre has announced full casting for Rupert Goold's revival of the award-winning musical Spring Awakening which opens in December 2021.
The cast of Spring Awakening at the Almeida Theatre Casting has been announced for the Almeida Theatre's revival of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's award-winning musical Spring Awakening.
The cast includes Laurie Kynaston, Amara Okereke, Nathan Armarkwei-Laryea, Asha Banks, Taylor Bradshaw, Catherine Cusack, Carly-Sophia Davies, Kit Esuruoso, Mark Lockyer, Bella Maclean, Emily Ooi, Joe Pitts, Maia Tamrakar, Stuart Thompson and Zheng Xi Yong.
Winner of the Tony and Olivier awards for best musical, the musical tells a story of adolescent anarchy, set to one of the most loved scores of the 21st century. A group of teenagers – silenced and controlled by a censorious society – discover a new world of feeling and freedom outside the classroom, with beautiful and devastating consequences.
The Almeida Theatre's is directed by Rupert Goold, choreography by Lynne Page, design by Miriam Buether, costumes by Nicki Gillibrand, lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Tony Gayle, orchestrations by Duncan Sheik and Simon Hale and musical direction by Jo Cichonska.
Spring Awakening the musical is based on Frank Wedekind's groundbreaking and once banned 19th-century play of the same name. This is the first revival of the musical since the show's 2009 UK Premiere.
