Last Updated on 15th April 2021

As COVID-19 lockdown rules are eased we’ve been keeping an eye on West End Musical plans. Here is a summary of what is known at the moment.

London theatre closures due to Coronavirus

With most West End Musicals having been closed for over a year now, outdoor theatres, online productions and streaming services have kept the flame burning for theatre fans worldwide.

The feeling now is palpable that audiences, creatives and actors alike are eagerly awaiting the return of live theatre. While everyone is keen to get back to normal productions are being careful to keep audiences and performers safe by keeping within the issued guidelines. Most theatres are also now members of the See It Safely scheme where venues undergo verification of safety standards.

We will be updating this page to provide a rolling update of production restart dates and any restrictions that might apply (Please note – this may subject to change). Some theatres have already said that a negative COVID-19 test or proof if vaccination may be needed as a condition of entry although this has yet to be confirmed.
