Jodie Prenger is to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s one-woman song cycle Tell Me On A Sunday which will tour the UK from June 2021
Jamie Wilson is delighted to announce a UK national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classic musical Tell Me On A Sunday starring Jodie Prenger, opening at Malvern Festival Theatre on 15 June 2021.
Tell Me On A Sunday is the story of an English girl who follows her heart to New York only to discover that relationships are not all that they are cracked up to be and sharing her frustrations and heartaches with her mum back home. Tell Me On A Sunday has a score with some of Lloyd Webber’s most beautiful songs including Take That Look Of Your Face, Unexpected Song, Nothing Like You’ve Ever Known and the title song Tell Me On A Sunday.
Tell Me On a Sunday was originally conceived for television and has been performed by the likes of Marti Webb, Claire Sweeney, Denise Van Outen, Sarah Brightman and Bernadette Peters and now it’s Jodie’s turn to break your hearts as Emma. The show is being directed by Paul Foster and includes an intimate chat with Jodie after each show.

Tell Me On A Sunday, with its cast of just one actress, is probably the most naturally socially distanced musical in the world! We are delighted that Jodie Prenger is able to return to this role to reprise her incredible performance as “Emma”. This production is the perfect way for audiences to support their local theatre with this classic show.”
Tell Me On A Sunday is directed by Paul Foster, has musical direction by Francis Goodhand and musical supervision by Catherine Jayes. It is designed by David Woodhead with lighting design by Howard Hudson and sound design by Tom Marshall.
