The Old Vic has announced the cast for its upcoming return season of Dr Seuss’s The Lorax which will run from 15 October to 5 November 2017. The Lorax tickets are on sale now. Simon Paisley Day reprises his role as The Once-ler with David Ricardo-Pearce playing The Lorax alongside puppeteers Laura Caldow and Ben Thompson. David Haig will join Joshua McGuire and Daniel Radcliffe in David Leveaux’s production of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead at the Old Vic in February. Fifty years after its premiere at the Old Vic, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, the play that made a young Tom Stoppard’s name overnight returns to the Old Vic stage. Against the backdrop of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, this mind-bending situation comedy sees two hapless minor characters, Rosencrantz (Daniel Radcliffe) and Guildenstern (Joshua McGuire), take centre stage. Increasingly out of their depth, the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of this iconic drama.
