New Zealander Nicholas Afoa has just joined the London cast of Disney’s The Lion King. Nicholas had a promising career as a rugby player until a sporting injury turned his focus to his love of musical theatre. Nearly a decade later, the 29 year old was chosen from over four hundred hopefuls to play the role of Simba in the Australian production of The Lion King in 2013.
