Mel C Joins School Of Rock Cast For Surprise Performance

Following last night’s performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School Of Rock at the New London Theatre, Mel C joined the cast on stage and surprised the audience with a performance of the Spice Girls hit Wannabe. The audience who had given the show a standing ovation stayed on their feet for this special performance which brought the house down. Based on the iconic film starring Jack Black, School Of Rock has just announced it’s third booking extension with tickets now available until 14 January 2018.  The Broadway production of School Of Rock is now in its second year and continues to play to full Houses at the Wintergarden Theatre. This year’s Olivier Awards look set to be amongst the most exciting in recent times with Harry Potter And The Cursed Child receiving 11 nominations, Groundhog Day (8 nominations), The Glass Menagerie (7 nominations)  and Dreamgirls (5 nominations) featuring prominently. Presented by The Society Of London Theatre, The Olivier Awards are named after Sir Laurence Olivier, one of Britain’s finest actors. Andrew Lloyd Webber becomes first composer for 53 years to have 4 shows running concurrently on Broadway

The New London Theatre played host to guests including Ben Aldridge, David Baddiel, Duchess of York, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jimmy Carr, Julian Fellowes, Blake Harrison, David Haye, Patricia Hodge, Jodie Kidd, Myleene Klass, Andrew and Madeleine Lloyd Webber, Giftie Louise, Conor Maynard, Michael McIntyre, Freddy Parker, Arlene Phillips, Cliff Richard, Gaby Roslin, Janet Street-Porter, Sean Walsh and Vogue Williams.
