Dirty Dancing comes to London's Phoenix Theatre this December

Producers have announced that Dirty Dancing –  The Classic Story On Stage will add 30 performances to its current UK tour schedule when it comes to London’s Phoenix Theatre this December. Based on the classic film of the same name, this new production stars Lewis Griffiths as Johnny Castle, Katie Hartland as Baby Houseman and Carlie Milner as Penny Johnson. The current UK tour has been directed by Federico Bellone, choreographed by Gillian Bruce, with design by Roberto Comotti. This new production of Dirty Dancing has been breaking box office records across the UK taking over £5.5 million pounds since it hit the road in August. Natalie Dew plays football crazy Jess with Lauren Samuels as Jules, a player with the Harriers, a local women’s football team, and Jamie Campbell Bower as their coach Joe. Ronni Ancona will play Paula, Jules’s Mum, with Jamal Andréas as Jess’ good friend Tony. Last night (25 November 2014) at the Phoenix Theatre in the West End, Ronan Keating opened in the cast of the internationally award-winning Once The Musical to play Guy opposite Jill Winternitz as Girl.
