Qdos Entertainment have announced that Following the success of Cinderella last year, Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin and Nigel Havers will return for their production of Dick Whittington which will play at the London Palladium from 9 December 2017 to 14 January 2018. For Dick Whittington Julian Clary will play Spirit Of The Bells, Paul Zerdin will play Idle Jack and Nigel Havers will return to play Captain Nigel. Dick Whittington is being produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison (who will also direct the show) for Qdos Entertainment, the team behind last year’s twice Olivier-nominated production of Cinderella at the London Palladium. All in all, this is about as spectacular and over the top as pantomime should ever get. You certainly saw every penny of your ticket price on stage and the audience loved it, for me, I just wanted a bit less innuendo and a bit more family entertainment.
Initial casting has been announced for the upcoming production of Cinderella to be presented at the London Palladium. The 32 strong cast will be led by Paul O’Grady as The Wicked Stepmother, Julian Clary as Dandini, Lee Mead as Prince Charming, Paul Zerdin as Buttons, Nigel Havers as Lord Chamberlain and Count Arthur Strong as Baron Hardup. Casting for Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother and the Ugly Sisters will be announced soon. This will be the first time in nearly three decades that a traditional pantomime has been presented at the London Palladium. Cinderella will run from 9 December 2016 to 15 January 2017.
