Rehearsals for the musical comedy spoof DISASTER! are underway in London and we are pleased to bring you this great set of images from Jamie Scott Smith. DISASTER! the 2016 Broadway musical that spoofs star-studded1970s jeopardy movies like The Poseidon Adventure, Earthquake and Airport, will premiere at Charing Cross Theatre for two glittering gala concert charity performances to raise funds for The Make a Difference Trust on Sunday 20 November. It’s 1979 and New York’s hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of a floating casino and discotheque. But what begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters, such as earthquakes, tidal waves and infernos. Last night, a host of West End performers took to the stage at London’s Novello Theatre for the 7th Annual West End Bares. Hosted by Graham Norton, Samantha Bond, David Bedella and Michelle Visage, the evening called Excalibare raised money for the MAD Trust – a UK-based charity with a vision of a world free from HIV and AIDS. TheatreMAD (Make A Difference Trust) announced today that Graham Norton will host this years West End Bares to be held at Cafe De Paris on Sunday 20 September at 9.30pm and midnight. Graham will join platinum selling artist and West End star of Memphis and The Bodyguard Beverley Knight, Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio, comedian Joe Lycett, Strictly Come Dancing stars Robin Winsor and Lisa Riley, West End sensation Velma Celli and The Supreme Fabulettes, with music by Emmy award-winning composer and lyricist Lance Horne alongside Andrew Hayden Smith, Harriet Thorpe and TOWIE’s Charlie King, as well as the casts of many West End shows.
