Jez Buttwerworth’s new play The Ferryman has become the fastest selling play in the history of the Royal Court Theatre. As a result, it has been announced that the play will transfer to the Gielgud Theatre for 16 weeks from 20 June 2017. Tickets are now on sale. Rural Derry, 1981. The Carney farmhouse is a hive of activity with preparations for the annual harvest.  A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. But this year they will be interrupted by a visitor.
