First production images have been released from Ivo Van Hove’s new adaptation of All About Eve starring Gillian Anderson and Lily James at London’s Noel Coward Theatre. This new production sees Emmy Award-winner Gillian Anderson as she returns to the stage alongside Lily James in the titular role. Ivo van Hove: Well there are a few masterpieces in the world of the theatre and I think this is really Ibsen’s masterpiece. But more than that, it’s also a very personal play. It was written when Ibsen was quite old, ten years after A Doll’s House, and you feel that there is a real urgency for him to write this.
