When tickets for King Lear went on sale today at midday, the ATG online ticketing system failed to cope with demand of rock star proportions as thousands of fans clamoured to grab tickets for the acclaimed production.

James Graham’s play centres around Fleet Street and the offices of The Sun in 1969. A rebellious, young Rupert Murdoch asks The Sun’s Editor the impossible – to give the people what they want. I left the theatre, remembering just how much I loved The Glass Menagerie and thinking how lucky I was to have seen such an outstanding production of it. I’m sitting writing this review having already decided that a second and possibly a third visit is definitely in order.
