Danielle Tarento has today announced casting for Pure Imagination, a review celebrating the songs of Leslie Bricusse, one of the most extraordinary musical theatre and film songwriters of our time. Leslie Briscusse was one of the world’s most prolific songwriters writing over 1000 songs in collaboration with some of the world’s most celebrated writers including Anthony Newley, Henry Mancini, John Williams and John Barry. Cast Announced For The Grand Tour

Alastair Brookshaw, Nick Kyle and Zoë Doano are to head the cast for the European première of Jerry Herman’s 1979 Broadway musical, The Grand Tour, directed by Thom Southerland, at the Finborough Theatre as part of the 20 Premières Season. The Grand Tour will run for a strictly limited eight-week season from Thursday 1 January to Saturday 21 February, 2015. France, 1940. Jacobowsky, a Polish Jewish intellectual, has been one step ahead of the Nazis for years. Stjerbinsky, an aristocrat, anti semitic Polish colonel is desperately trying to get to England. Jacobowsky has purchased a car he doesn’t know how to drive. The Colonel knows how to drive, but has no car. When the two meet at a Paris hotel, they agree to join forces in order to escape the approaching Nazis. US composer and lyricist Georgia Stitt makes a welcome return to London following her sell-out concerts at St Paul’s Church in 2007 and The Hippodrome in 2012. In her new show, My Lifelong Love, she performs some of her best-known songs from her albums This Ordinary Thursday, Alphabet City Cycle and, of course, My Lifelong Love, as well as from her shows Big Red Sun, The Danger Year, Mosaic and Samantha Spade: Ace Detective. This special one-off performance will take place at London’s Garrick Theatre on Sunday 26th October at 7.30pm.
