Andrew Lippa’s musical The Little Princess is to have its UK Premiere at the Royal Festival Hall starring Amanda Abbington and Danny Mac and we have the first photo by Michael Warley. A Little Princess, with book and lyrics by by Brian Crawley (Violet), is based upon Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic childhood novel. It tells the story of Sara Crewe, as she is sent from her home in Africa to boarding school in London and separated from her father. As young Sara’s world is turned upside down, she must rely on her friends and imaginative powers to overcome her strict headmistress Miss Minchin and prove that every little girl deserves to be a princess. A Little Princess will recieve its UK premiere at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on 28 May 2018 at 7.30pm. We are pleased to bring you these great first look production images from Nick Ross Media of Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus at The Other Palace. Written by Sam Cassidy, directed by Arlene Phillips, Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus runs until Saturday in concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace. The production is semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece rock band. Previously called 27, Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus returns to London with a new title, a revised book and 8 new songs, including the new upbeat final number, “Pandora’s Hope”. BritishTheatre.com caught up with Lorna Luft recently to talk about her current tour with The Judy Garland Songbook asking what audiences might expect from the tour. The Judy Garland Songbook has given Lorna Luft, Garland’s daughter the opportunity to revisit her mother’s legacy through her songs and what a catalogue of songs it is. “It’s all of her songbook, these are songs that nearly every person knows and they are going to have the experience of being able to remember where they were and what there doing when they first heard these songs.” Lorna said. Judy Garland’s career spanned some 40 years as a film actress, vaudevillian, recording artist and concert performer.
