Hope Aria announce their 2019 season including a new version of Stephen Schwartz’s Rags, the first UK revival of Mame starring Tracie Bennett and a new festival musical at the Hope Mill Theatre Manchester. Katy Lipson of Aria Entertainment and Joseph Houston and William Whelton of the Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester have announced the three musicals that will make up the Hope Aria Productions 2019 Season. The three poductions are the UK Premiere of a new version of the Stephen Schwartz musical Rags (opening 2 March 2019), Jerry Herman’s musical Mame starring Tracie Bennett (opening 27 September 2019) and in time for Christmas, a new musical The Astonishing Times Of Timothy Cratchit (opening 22 November 2019). From Page To Stage New Musicals Festival

Now in its 6th year, Aria Entertainment have announced details of the From Page To Stage Festival of New Musical Theatre 2018. Aria Entertainment’s thriving new musical theatre festival, From Page To Stage returns for its 6th year, with submissions now open. This year’s festival will take place in September at Southwark Playhouse, and follows the hugely successful 2017 festival, which took place at The Other Palace, and received over 300 submissions from across the UK and internationally. From Page To Stage 2018 will showcase each step of how an original musical is developed, from a song-writing showcase, to full staged readings of new musicals. The Break Arts Theatre, Friday 6th October 2017 Seen in a rehearsed reading on the set of the current main house production, ‘The Toxic Avenger’, Katy Lipson’s Aria Entertainments presented a bigger outing than usual for this script sent to her during the last submissions round for the ‘From Page To Stage’.  And, indeed, unlike most of the works making it through to that festival, this work is more complete, more finished, and ready to be tested on a full stage, seen as a stand-alone piece and not as part of a wider, more varied programme.
