The Olivier Awards 2023 were held last night at the Royal Albert Hall with great new productions emerging victorious and exciting performances from nominated shows. Here are the winners in full.
The Olivier Awards 2023 were held last night at the Royal Albert Hall with the RSC’s production of My Neighbour Totoro winning six of the nine awards for which it was nominated including Best Entertainment or Comedy Play and Best Director.
Hosted by Hannah Waddingham, the ceremony saw Jodie Comer and Paul Mescal winning Best Actress and Best Actor with Katie Brayben, Beverley Knight, Arthur Darvill and Will Keen winning in other acting categories.
The radical revival of Rodger’s and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! won Best Musical Revival and the National Theatre’s Standing At The Sky’s Edge won Best New Musical.
Notable last night was the success of London’s Almeida Theatre which was nominated for its productions of Tammye Faye, A Streetcar Named Desire and Patriots.
